Dr. Walid El Swaifi is an experienced Nuclear Safeguards Professional, Senior Regulatory
Specialist, and International Expert with a career spanning over 28 years. His passion lies in
establishing nuclear/ radiological regulatory frameworks and emergency response processes on
both national and international scales.

Dr. El Swaifi learned his Ph.D in Nuclear Safeguards, Science between 2000 and 2005, in
collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and a background in
Radiometric Physics, he has made significant contributions to the field through his work at the
the Atomic Energy Authority in Egypt.

Dr. El Swaifi takes pride in his role in developing nuclear/ radiation related regulations,
developing standards related to emergency preparedness and responding to nuclear facilities,
and supervising national emergency planning projects. In addition to his regulatory expertise,

Dr. El Swaifi is an accomplished academic, was serving as a faculty member at Mansoura
University Egypt at Faculty of science. His skills in organizational management, team
leadership, business continuity, decision-making, and negotiation abilities have proven valuable
in representing organizations at various events.
